Coaching Certification

Please contact the head coach of the sport you are interested in coaching. Once they have confirmed there is an opening, contact Laurie Bunde for clearance procedures and the packet.

Step 1 - Complete the appropriate Coaching packet

Step 2 - Keenan Trainings

 

Once you contact Laurie Bunde to sign up to volunteer, she will give you a link for the Keenan Safe Schools Training as well as a user name. 

 

You may use the links below to complete the mandated online training certificates.  Returning coaches, you too may use these links to update your certificates.

 

* Keenan Safe Schools Training includes the following 7 certificates:

1. Sexual Harassment Prevention
2. Mandated Reporter
3. Workplace Bullying
4. Title IX
5. Severe Bleeding
6. Cybersecurity Awareness
7. Youth Suicide Prevention

* These certificates expire at the end of each school year in June and need to be taken again at the start of each school year in August.

Step 3 - NFHS Trainings & Fundamentals of Coaching

 

(For the following trainings, you create your own login, you do not need district approval to complete these mandatory trainings)

* NFHS Training includes the following '4" certificates: Sudden Cardiac, Concussion, Heat Illness Prevention, .

* These certificates expire every 2 years.

Step 4 - CPR/First Aid Certificates

 

* 2 options:

1. You can get this training on your own at your, or the programs, expense.  Usually an online training... OR
   
   
2. Periodically the district offers this course to our coaches, free of charge at the district office.

   Check with the Secretary of athletics, L. Bunde for the schedule.

Step 5 - Fingerprinting

 

*  The certificates above must be included in the Coach Packet for Admin approval before your Request for Live Scan Service fingerprint appointment.   Laurie Bunde can help set up appointment for Live Scan
